The Floral Studio Purton has been recycling our waste for over 8 years, and we estimate 75% of our waste is green waste which is 100% compostable. We are keen to re-use as many floristry by products as possible - such as chicken wire, or plastic water tubes - and these are stored carefully and are re-used over and over. All of our cardboard is recycled.
We will always opt for foam free, and environmentally friendly techniques wherever possible. However some venues we work in do legally required we use bio floral foam as flowers arranged into water are not permitted - we find this most common in historic buildings or art institutions.
At The Floral Studio Purton we recognise the impact that importing flowers has on the environment, and wherever possible we will use British flowers as much as possible and support growers based here in the UK. Truly embracing the seasons and only using the best of what is available at that specific time.
As a company we always endeavour to use our props, fresh, dried and preserved product as many times as possible. We reuse foliage and plants where possible, and whenever we use silk florals, we will re-use these blooms time and time again, to minimise the environmental impact.
"Thank you so much for once again making the table centres and tall arrangements look amazing - I actually think these were the best yet. I think with an awards ceremony it's so important to have a glitzy theme - it needs to give the WOW factor and it certainly did."
